This Air Filter is now manufactured, in the UK, by Thor Filtration. Thor have always been the metal fabricators for the Microclene range, they have now set up a production line using all the same components, including the motor, as the original machines.  We are confident there will be a continuation of the performance and reliability that Microclene were famous for.

The NEW TF1260 is suitable for filtering the air in a workshop of up to 120 cubic metres air volume, around the size of 3 garages.

They are very quiet in operation and can run for long periods of time. Air Filters should be used in conjunction with a dust extractor for maximum dust control.

This unit is the largest of the range and is suitable for larger workshops. It can be used in the following ways and comes supplied with a hanging chain;

• Suspended in the centre of the workshop to act as a general workshop air cleaner


• Suspended over a particular dust producing machine, such as a lathe

Filter Media

The filter is made of polyvee glass and to the EU4 standard, which means it will filter out 95% of all dust at 2 microns or larger, 80% of dust down to 1 micron and 65% of dust down to 0.4 micron.

The filters are very easy to replace.

The motors are Swiss made to a very high standard and are very reliable. Thermally protected and most important to woodworkers they are spark proof, so less chance of dust combustion. Ingress protected to IP44 standard.
